Thermomechanical processes, such as forging, are important steps during manufacturing of superalloy components. The microstructural development processing, which controls the final component properties, is complex and depends on e.g., applied strain, strain rate temperature. In this study, we investigate effect process parameters dynamic post-dynamic recrystallization hot compression Ni-base Haynes 282. Specifically, address deformation below grain boundary carbide solvus During deformation, discontinuous continuous was observed at boundaries, particle-stimulated nucleation occurred primary carbides. Strain determined to be governing factor controlling fraction for rates up 0.5 s?1 above adiabatic heating became dominating factor. Careful examination temperature showed that response closed-loop control system can have effects interpretation behavior. a 90 s post-deformation hold, growth an increasing twin boundaries significantly changed deformation-induced microstructure texture. developed mainly controlled by only weakly coupled prior step.
